We do not ask you to provide any personal information in order to use the App. However, we do collect certain information automatically when you use the App. This information may include your device ID (and type), location ID or advertising ID, the app store from which you downloaded the App, how often you use the App, how long you engage with the App per session and whether you experienced issues while using the App (such as a crash). We use this information on an aggregated basis in order to track user engagement, understand user preferences and improve the App.
Lindt uses service providers to provide certain services on our behalf, such as data hosting and processing, information technology support, analytics and similar services. These service providers will have access to the information collected through the App as necessary to provide these services to Lindt. Some of these service providers may be located outside of Canada, including in the United States. While information is processed by service providers located outside of Canada, it will be subject to applicable foreign laws, which may permit government and national security authorities to have access to the information in certain circumstances.
Lindt uses physical, technical and organisational security measures to protect the information it collects against unauthorized access, use, disclosure or modification. These security measures are appropriate having regard to the sensitivity of the information. Our employees, representatives and agents will have access to this information as necessary to perform their job responsibilities.
